Melur, Sidlaghatta : ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿದ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಕೋಟ್ಯಂತರ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಖರ್ಚು ಮಾಡಿ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಸವಲತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಲು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟ ಕಾಪಾಡುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಶಾಸಕ ವಿ.ಮುನಿಯಪ್ಪ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಶಿಡ್ಲಘಟ್ಟ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಮೇಲೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನೂತನವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗಿರುವ ಪಶು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಂಬದಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಹೊರವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿನ ಶ್ರೀಆಂಜನೇಯಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಾಲಯದವರೆಗೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಿರುವ ಸಿಮೆಂಟ್ ರಸ್ತೆ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಯ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಊರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಸ್ತೆ, ಚರಂಡಿ, ಸಮುದಾಯ ಭವನಗಳಂತಹ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಉಪಯೋಗದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳು ನಡೆಯುವಾಗ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಜನ ಅವರ ಮನೆ ಮುಂದೆಯೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ಕಿಂಚಿತ್ ಗಮನ ಹರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಹಣ ನಿಮ್ಮದೇ ತೆರಿಗೆಯ ಹಣ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಗಮನದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಗಮನಿಸಿದರೆ ಆ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಯು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮೂರಿಗೆ ಆಸ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಉಳಿಯಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಕಂಬದಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಕಾಳಿಕಾಂಬ ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂಜೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಮೇಲೂರು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಶಾಸಕರ ನಿಧಿಯಿಂದ ಕೊಠಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟು ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಶಾಸಕ ವಿ.ಮುನಿಯಪ್ಪ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮೇಲೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಅಭಿನಂದನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಹಿರಿಯ ಮುಖಂಡ ಬಿ.ವಿ.ಮುನೇಗೌಡ, ಬ್ಲಾಕ್ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಮೇಲೂರು ಮುರಳಿ, ಮಳ್ಳೂರು ಎಸ್‌ಎಫ್‌ಸಿಎಸ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಮುನಿರಾಜು, ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ವೆಂಕಟರೆಡ್ಡಿ, ಅಣ್ಣಪ್ಪ, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಮುಖಂಡರಾದ ಎಂ.ಎಂ.ಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ಕೆ.ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್, ಪಶು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸಹಾಯಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಡಾ.ರಮೇಶ್ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.
MLA V. Muniyappa stresses on citizen responsibility in maintaining government-funded rural development projects
Melur, Sidlaghatta :
Inaugurating the Veterinary Medical Hospital building in Meluru village and the ongoing cement road construction work leading up to Sri Anjaneyaswamy Temple in Kambadalhalli, MLA V. Muniyappa reiterated the government’s commitment to providing basic benefits to rural areas through various projects. He stressed on the importance of local public responsibility in maintaining the quality of such works.
Muniyappa expressed concern that while development works of public use like roads, drains, and community buildings are being carried out in towns, many people do not pay attention to the quality of work done in front of their houses. He urged citizens to take ownership of such projects since they are funded by their own tax money.
During the inauguration, a pooja was offered at Kalikamba Temple in Kambadahalli. The villagers of Melur congratulated and honored MLA V. Muniappa, who had also funded the construction of rooms in the Melur government school.
The event was attended by senior Congress leader B.V. Munegowda, Block Congress President Meluru Murali, Malluru SFCS Bank President Muniraju, Directors Venkatareddy and Annappa, as well as local leaders M.M. Swamy, K. Manjunath, and Veterinary Assistant Director Dr. Ramesh.
