ದೇಶದ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಡಿಭದ್ರತಾ ಪಡೆಯ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಅಪಾರವಾದುದು. ಯುವಪೀಳಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ, ಸೇನೆಗೆ ಸೇರುವ ಬಗೆಗಿನ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಬೇಕು. ಮಕ್ಕಳದಿಸೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಸೇನೆಯ ಸೇವೆಯ ಕುರಿತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಠ್ಯಕಲಿಕೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಲಿಸಬೇಕಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತ್ರಿಪುರ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಅಗರ್ತಲಾದ ಇಂಡೋ-ಬಾಂಗ್ಲಾ ಗಡಿ ಇಂಟಿಗ್ರೇಟೆಡ್ ಚೆಕ್‌ಪೋಸ್ಟ್‌ನ ಸಬ್‌ಇನ್‌ಸ್ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ವಿ.ಗುರುಮೂರ್ತಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಶಿಡ್ಲಘಟ್ಟ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಸುಗಟೂರು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರೋಟರಿ ವಿಜಯಪುರ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡು ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.

ದೇಶದ ಭದ್ರತೆ, ಸಮಗ್ರತೆ, ಅಖಂಡತೆ, ಸಮಗ್ರತೆಯಲ್ಲದೇ ನೆರೆರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶಾಂತಿ, ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆ ಕಾಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಲ್ಲಿ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಪತ್ತುಗಳ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಗರೀಕರ ಸೇವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಶ್ಲಾಘನೀಯವಾದುದು. ಗಡಿ ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಎದುರಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಂತದ ಸೈನಿಕರು ಅಧಿಕ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಾರ್ಹವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಬಾಲ್ಯದ ದಿಸೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಧೈರ್ಯ, ಸಾಹಸ, ಶೌರ್ಯ, ಸೇವಯ ಗುಣಗಳನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಬೇಕಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ದೃಢನಿಶ್ಚಯ ಬೇಕು: ಪ್ರತಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಒಬ್ಬರಾದರೂ ಸೇನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಸಿದ್ಧರಾಗಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಮನೋಭಾವನೆ ಬರಬೇಕು. ಸೇನೆ ಸೇರಲು ದೃಢ ನಿಶ್ಚಯ, ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ, ದೇಶಸೇವೆಯ ಗುಣ ಬೇಕು. ನುಸುಳುಕೋರರನ್ನು ತಡೆದು ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದನೆ ಹತ್ತಿಕ್ಕಿ ಕಾನೂನುಸುವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಕಾಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಎಸ್‌ಎಫ್ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಅನನ್ಯವಾದುದು ಎಂದರು. ಸುಗಟೂರು ಶಾಲೆಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕುರ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂವಾದ ನಡೆಸಿ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಭೌತಿಕ ಪರಿಸರದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರು.

ರೋಟರಿ ವಿಜಯಪುರ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ಎಚ್.ಎಸ್.ರುದ್ರೇಶಮೂರ್ತಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಭಾರತೀಯರು. ದೇಶರಕ್ಷಣೆಯು ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯವೆಂದು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಭಾವಿಸಬೇಕು. ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ನಿಜರೂಪದ ಭಾವೈಕ್ಯತೆಗೆ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮೊದಲು ದೇಶ, ನಂತರ ಕುಟುಂಬವೆಂಬ ಭಾವನೆ ಬರಬೇಕು. ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥದಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಸೈನಿಕರ ಜೀವನಾದರ್ಶಗಳು ಪ್ರತಿ ಭಾರತೀಯರಿಗೂ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಬೇಕು. ಶಿಸ್ತು, ಪರಿಸರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆ, ಮಕ್ಕಳದಿಸೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು.

ಗಡಿಭದ್ರತಾಪಡೆಯ ವಿ.ಗುರುಮೂರ್ತಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ರೋಟರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಲೆಯ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

Sub-Inspector of BSF emphasizes the importance of national defense for the younger generation

Sidlaghatta : During a recent lecture program organized by Rotary Vijayapura at Sugaturu Government Senior Primary School in Sidlaghatta taluk, V. Gurumurthy, Sub-Inspector of Indo-Bangla Border Integrated Checkpost in Agartala, Tripura State, emphasized the importance of the Border Security Force (BSF) in defending the nation. He stressed the need for greater interest in national defense among the younger generation and suggested that information about army service should be included in textbooks from childhood.

Gurumurthy also highlighted the commendable role of the defense system in maintaining peace and harmony with neighboring countries and serving citizens during national calamities. He spoke about the bravery, courage, and service required to meet border challenges, and emphasized the need to develop these qualities in children from a young age.

The sub-inspector called for at least one member of every family to be ready to join the army, citing determination, self-confidence, and a commitment to national service as key qualities required for this profession. He praised the unique work of the BSF in preventing infiltrators, suppressing terrorism, and maintaining law and order.

The Rotary Vijayapur president, HS Rudreshamurthy, echoed Gurumurthy’s sentiments, emphasizing that every Indian should feel a sense of duty towards the defense of the country. He suggested that the Indian Army’s true spirit of “country first, family second” should serve as a role model for all Indians. Rudreshamurthy also emphasized the importance of discipline and environmental awareness in children.

The lecture concluded with Gurumurthy being felicitated by Rotary and the school, and several other local figures in attendance.
