Sidlaghatta : ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಯುವಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಸೆಲ್ಫೀ ಕ್ರೇಜ್ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದ್ದು ಮೇ 10 ರಂದು ನಡೆಯಲಿರುವ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ವಿಧಾನಸಭೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವಕರ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ವಿವಿದೆಡೆ ಸೆಲ್ಫೀ ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿ ಇಓ ಹಾಗು ಸ್ವೀಪ್ ಸಮಿತಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಜಿ.ಮುನಿರಾಜ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ನಗರದ ಕೆಎಸ್‌ಆರ್‌ಟಿಸಿ ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೆಲ್ಫೀ ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ಯುವಜನತೆ ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮ ಮತ ಚಲಾಯಿಸಲು ಈ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಲಿದ್ದು ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಕಚೇರಿ, ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಗೂಡು ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆ ಹಾಗೂ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸೆಲ್ಫೀ ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್ ಸ್ಥಪಿಸಲು ಯೋಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಗರಸಭೆ ಪೌರಾಯುಕ್ತ ಆರ್.ಶ್ರೀಕಾಂತ್, ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿ ನರೇಗಾ ಸಹಾಯಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಚಂದ್ರಪ್ಪ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.
Election Officials Set Up Selfie Points to Encourage Youth Participation
Sidlaghatta : According to Taluk Panchayat EO and Sweep Committee Chairman G. Muniraja, the youth have been showing an increased interest in taking selfies lately. To encourage their participation in the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections on May 10th, selfie points are being established in the constituency.
During the inauguration of a selfie point at the KSRTC bus stand in the city, Muniraja stated that this initiative would encourage young people to vote with enthusiasm. He also mentioned that selfie points would be set up at other locations, such as the taluk office, silk mill market, and railway station.
The event was attended by Municipal Commissioner R. Srikanth and Taluk Panchayat Narega Assistant Director Chandrappa.
