Sidlaghatta : ವಿಧಾನಸಭೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ಮತದಾನದ ಕುರಿತು ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ನಗರದ ಟಿ.ಬಿ.ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಳ ಸೇತುವೆಯ ಸಮೀಪ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಎರಡೂ ಬದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗ, ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಡಳಿತ, ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ವೀಪ್ ಸಮಿತಿ, ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಇಲಾಖೆ, ನಗರ ಸಭೆ, ಮಹಿಳಾ ಮತ್ತು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋಮವಾರ ರಂಗೋಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು, ಸ್ತ್ರೀಶಕ್ತಿ ಸಂಘದ ಸದಸ್ಯೆಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ರಂಗೋಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ, ಚುನಾವಣೆ ವಿಷಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಢಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾದ ಬಣ್ಣಬಣ್ಣದ ರಂಗೋಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿದರು.
ಶಿಡ್ಲಘಟ್ಟ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಚುನಾವಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಜಾವಿದ ನಸೀಮಾ ಖಾನಂ ಮತ್ತು ಕೃಷಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಸಹಾಯಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕಿ ವೀಣಾ ತೀರ್ಪುಗಾರರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
“ಬಿರುಬಿಸಿಲಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ರಂಗೋಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ನೈತಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯ ಮತದಾನದ ಜತೆಗೆ ಮತದಾನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಕ್ಕೆ ಒತ್ತು ಕೊಡುವುದಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಒತ್ತಡದ ಬದುಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವನ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಮತದಾರರನ್ನು ಮತದಾನದತ್ತ ಸೆಳೆಯುವ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ವೀಪ್ ಸಮಿತಿ ವಿವಿಧ ರೀತಿಯ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯ ಮತದಾನದ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ” ಎಂದು ಚುನಾವಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಜಾವಿದ ನಸೀಮಾ ಖಾನಂ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಸ್ವೀಪ್ ಸಮಿತಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಹಾಗೂ ತಾ.ಪಂ. ಇಒ ಮುನಿರಾಜ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, “ಮತದಾನದ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯ ಪಾತ್ರ ಮಹತ್ವವಾದದ್ದು. ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಸಮಾನರು. ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾಗಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಜಾಗೃತರಾಗಿ ಮತದಾನ ಮಾಡುವುದರ ಜತೆಗೆ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಲ್ಲಿ ಮತದಾನದ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಮೇ 10ರಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಮತದಾನ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ರಂಗೋಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ವಿಜೇತರಿಗೆ ಬಹುಮಾನ ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಮಹಿಳಾ ಮತ್ತು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ನವತಾಜ್, ನಗರ ಸಭೆ ಪೌರಾಯುಕ್ತ ಶ್ರೀ ಕಾಂತ್ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.
Rangoli Competition Raises Awareness About Voting During Assembly Elections
Sidlaghatta : A Rangoli competition was held on Monday in collaboration with various government organizations to raise awareness about voting during the assembly elections. The event took place on both sides of the road near the lower bridge on T.B. Road in the city.
The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students, members of the Streeshakti Sangh, and women who created colorful and meaningful Rangolis related to the election theme.
Javida Naseema Khanam, Electoral Officer of Shidlaghatta Assembly Constituency, and Veena, Assistant Director of Agriculture Department, judged the competition.
The objective of the competition was to emphasize the importance of moral and compulsory voting and increase voter turnout. “Women lead more stressful lives. Thus, the District SVEEP Committee is organizing various types of competitions to attract women voters to vote. Through this, awareness of compulsory voting will be created,” said Electoral Officer Javida Naseema Khanam.
Taluk SVEEP Committee Chairman and T.P. EO Muniraja emphasized the importance of women’s role in creating awareness about voting, and the need to make everyone aware of the importance of voting in a democratic system.
The event also aimed to create awareness about the upcoming election day on May 10, and prizes were distributed to the winners of the Rangoli competition.
Navtaj of Women and Child Development Department and Nagar Sabha Municipal Commissioner Shri Kant were present at the event.
