Sidlaghatta : ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮತದಾರರಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗುವ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಸವಲತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಮತದಾರರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆಗೆ ಬಂದು ತಮ್ಮ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ಮತ ಚಲಾಯಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ತಾ.ಪಂ ಇಓ ಹಾಗು ಸ್ವೀಪ್ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಜಿ.ಮುನಿರಾಜ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಶಿಡ್ಲಘಟ್ಟ ನಗರ ಸ್ವೀಪ್ ಸಮಿತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ನಗರಸಭೆ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಬುಧವಾರ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಿರಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಜಾಥಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ತಮಟೆ ಬಾರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ಭಾರತ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಗರದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ 38 ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಪುರುಷರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕ ಶೌಚಾಲಯ, ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರಿನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ, ವಿಶೇಷಚೇತನರಿಗಾಗಿ ರ್‍ಯಾಂಪ್, ನೆರಳಿನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಚಿತ್ರಣಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿ ಮತದಾನ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವದ ನೆಲಗಟ್ಟು ಬಲಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು.
ನಗರಸಭೆ ಪೌರಾಯುಕ್ತ ಆರ್.ಶ್ರೀಕಾಂತ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಕಳೆದ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ಮತದಾರರಿಗೆ ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಂದ ಮತದಾನದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮತದಾನವಾದ ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಮತದಾರರನ್ನು ಬೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಮತದಾನದ ದಿನ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೂ ಗೈರು ಹಾಜರಾಗದೇ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿ ಮತದಾನ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಗರಸಭೆ ಕಚೇರಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕಿ ಕೆ.ರಾಜರಾಜೇಶ್ವರಿ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಕ ಪಿ.ಮುರಳಿ, ಕಂದಾಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಎನ್.ನಾಗರಾಜ್, ಸೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಕೆ.ಎಂ.ಸುದಾ, ಕಂದಾಯ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಕ ಅತೀಕ್‌ಉಲ್ಲಾ, ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
Polling Station Awareness March Organized in the Town to Strengthen Democracy
Sidlaghatta : The Sidlaghatta Town SVEEP Committee and Municipal Council organized a polling station awareness march in the city on Wednesday, with the aim of encouraging voters to cast their precious votes in large numbers in all 38 polling booths in the constituency. Speaking on behalf of the Committee, a representative emphasized the importance of strengthening the foundation of democracy by making voting compulsory for everyone.
In accordance with the directions of the Election Commission of India, the polling centers have been equipped with attractive features such as separate toilets for men and women, drinking water systems, ramps for the disabled, and shade systems. Municipal Commissioner R. Srikanth stated that polling station officials have been raising awareness among voters about the importance of voting for the past two days, particularly in areas with historically low voter turnout.
The event was attended by several officials, including Municipal Office Manager K. Rajarajeshwari, Health Inspector P. Murali, Revenue Officer N. Nagaraj, Sector Officer K. M. Suda, and Revenue Inspector Atiqullah.
